The Following Are Destination Farms with Seasonal Hours
Lively Run Goat Farm
Lively Run pioneered artisanal goat cheese in the US, beginning production in 1982 with a small herd of thirty goats. Lively Run has grown over the years and we now source our milk from a collective of small local goat dairies in addition to our own goats. Lively Run has added a range of cow milk cheeses using milk from an award winning local cow dairy.
Our cheese is made by hand in small batches with a process rooted in tradition and affection for the animals producing our milk. We make a variety of unique and exceptional goat and cow cheeses which have become a staple of the Finger Lakes region and beyond.

Tel: (315) 841-4072
Jake’s Gouda Cheese began with a simple idea – that well crafted food is inherently good. Something about it just makes you feel… well, good. and Jake thought he could bring this goodness to Gouda Cheese. You see, true Gouda needs to breathe and most of what he could find locally was sealed so tight it was if the goodness had squeezed right out. Our Gouda is handmade in Upstate NY, and crafted in the traditional Dutch style. True Gouda needs to breathe and our baby get’s plenty of air. Turned daily on pine planks to ensure uniform age and perfection for at least sixty days, it’s also a raw milk cheese – no high temp pasteurization here. The results? One of New York’s finest traditional style Gouda cheese!
Aged Gouda - matured at least six months, for a distinct sharpness and saltier finish
Baby Gouda - softer and smoother than it’s aged counterpart. But, just because it’s delicate doesn’t mean it doesn’t have full grown Gouda goodness
Cracked Black Pepper - A delicious mix of spicy & fresh cracked black pepper Jalapeno Blend - A spicy kick featuring a blend of Jalapenos and sweet peppers Nettle Blend - a delightful mix of chives, celery, parsley, onion, and garlic Sharp Cheddar Cheese - handmade in Upstate NY made from raw milk, our sharp cheddar cheese has a rich and classic cheddar flavor Smoked Gouda - This latest addition is flavored after it has aged at least 60 days, Jake’s Smoked Gouda has a smooth, smoked oak flavor Sundried Tomato and Garlic - A smooth and robust mix of sundried tomato and garlic
